What is Seek to Make?

Seek To Make is my evolving studio journal — a slow, honest look at what it means to live a creative life. Initially, I was exploring a different theme around making each month, from handmade notebooks to eco-art, patterns and mark-making to upcycling picture frames. It was lots of fun but now I’m now focusing more deeply on what I truly love: textile art and quilting. Here, you’ll find reflections from my studio, glimpses into my process, things that inspire me, some deep dives into creativity, and the messy, joyful reality of making. I’ll be leaving room for crafty side projects, experiments, and the occasional detour like interviews with artists and makers, yay! If you're walking a creative path too, come along. Let’s figure it out together.

Subscribe or Support

Seek To Make is free to read, and I’m so glad you’re here. If you enjoy following along and want to support my work as an artist, you can choose to become a paid subscriber. There aren’t exclusive perks right now (maybe the occasional early preview of new work or collection releases), but your support helps me carve out time to create and share this studio journal.

Whether you’re here as a reader, a fellow maker, or a quiet observer — thank you. Your presence means a lot.

About me:

I’ve shared more about my background in this post but for now, I’m a maker, a mum of two, and I love quilting. I make minimalist, modern quilts with solid bold colours in simple geometric designs (Coast Road Quilting Co.). I’ve made quilted wall hangings, table runners, cot quilts, cushion covers, and quilt coats and dabbled in designing a few quilt patterns as well. If you would like to know more about my journey as a maker so far, check out this interview I did (with myself 🤣):

Whether you’re here as a reader, a fellow maker, or a quiet observer — thank you.
