Pattern Play: Exploring Repetition in Art
How artists transform simple elements into mesmerising designs.
January: PATTERN PLAY
Hello makers,
Patterns have a way of grabbing our attention—whether in nature, art, or design. This week, I’ve found some stunning art that uses repeated designs (sometimes actual objects) to create rhythm, structure, and beauty. From intricate motifs to bold geometric arrangements, these works truly celebrate the power of mesmerising patterns. They transform the ordinary into something extraordinary!
Enjoy.

It never ceases to amaze me how many talented people we have in this world! As always, share if you feel inspired to do so, comment if something you have seen has ignited you, or go off now and create something of your very own.
Happy making,
Esta
What a fantastic display of patterns! Using oranges to make a pattern was so creative but honestly they are all amazing. We have coffee tables made out of matchsticks and I love the patterns that the maker must've spent hours constructing. The ideas are endless!
Another cheerful post with a positive message. Thanks for helping redress the balance.
