Seek to Make is an exploration of creativity and making. Each month, I share a monthly theme around making, showcase inspiring makers, share tips, tools and encouragement. Together let's get curious and immerse ourselves in the art of making!
OCTOBER: NOTEBOOKS
Hello makers,
Dreamy hand painted moon concertina books, incredible origami folded rainbow books, books made from maps, entire art installations made from little handmade books!
So much loveliness.
Today, I’m shining a spotlight on Yvette Ja, an amazing paper artist of British and South Korean heritage based in Hexam, UK. Yvette not only teaches bookbinding (she has courses, tutorials, kits you name it!), but she has also exhibited her paper and book installations at galleries around the world. So much talent right there.
I’ll let her work do the rest of the talking but make sure you check out her website yvetteja.com. She has a huge range of resources available to purchase if you want to take your book-making further.
Right, I’ve just spent way too much time scrolling her feed. Time to get making!
Happy making,
Esta
