Featured maker: Susanna Bauer
Quite possibly the most patient and talented crochet artist ever!
Seek to Make is an exploration of creativity and making. Each month, I share a monthly theme around making, showcase inspiring makers, share tips, tools and encouragement. Together let's get curious and immerse ourselves in the art of making!
NOVEMBER: ECO-ART
Hello makers,
Today’s featured maker is Cornwall-based artist Susanna Bauer. She started out working in plant nurseries, then went on to study landscape architecture before eventually heading into the creative world of model making and then going to art school.
She now creates the most exquisite fine art using natural leaves and intricate crochet. Her work and talent are next level!
Susanna has published a stunning monograph titled “Susanna Bauer - In Leaf”, which is just full of her incredible leaf art. Her work showcases the beautiful interconnectedness between nature and art.
Enjoy.
If you have come across any amazing eco-artists, I would love to hear about them. Please feel free to share in the comments below!
Happy making,
Esta
